Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle Overview

Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is different from other weight loss programs as Tom Venuto’s mantra is that in order to lose weight quickly, gimmicks just aren’t going to work. Instead, the weight loss can only come about through a complete lifestyle change and a true determination to succeed.

The main aim of the program is to succeed in losing fat permanently without using drugs, supplements or any gimmicks and to achieve this by educating you so that you become “a fat loss expert” and you take control.

A list of ten ways to measure your progress is described, some are technical, like using skin fold measurements and others less so, such as using a mirror and other people’s opinion.

Tom then goes on to discuss in depth the training and nutrition variables you can change such as eating less and improving food choices.

He describes all the factors affecting your weight and fat storage including genetic influences and digestive capabilities and he shows you how your body type affects you. A complete life style strategy is then included for each type.

The meaning and relevance of calories is explained and the benefits of counting calories is discussed in depth. Secrets of meal frequency and timing is explained so that you can turbo charge your metabolism so that it burns fat.

Your optimum combination of protein, fat and carbohydrate can be calculated to improve your muscle-to-fat ratio. The precise foods and ratios to suit your body can then be worked out. These macronutrients are then discussed in detail and the importance of water to maintain hydration together with a large section on the effects and disadvantages of alcohol.

The Good

The program is individualised depending on your body type and what your goals are. This is something unique in the weight loss industry, one size does not fit all. Also, this book is different because it is not a starvation diet or a low calorie diet.

Weight loss and fat loss are not the same thing. Your ratio of muscle to fat is important. Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle explains how to work out how much fat you have and how to use this information to chart your progress.

The book is easy to understand, is simple to follow and also contains some interesting science too, which is included every now and again to make a point. Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle is a complete system that will help you succeed in the shortest possible time and is a no nonsense book which explains in simple terms all you need to know about how to lose belly fat with nutrition and training.

Incredibly detailed step-by-step workouts.

Explanation of protein, fat and carbohydrate to improve your muscle-to-fat ratio.

No drugs or supplements.

Designed to lose fat not muscle.

Able to do the entire workout at home.

The Bad

Don’t expect Burn the Fat feed the Muscle program to be easy to complete.  The program maybe simple to understand, but there is no such thing as quick and easy fat loss. Hard work is required and a determination to succeed. However, this program teaches you how to set powerful, compelling goals, which in effect rewires your brain to erase the negative programming of the past.

The program explains how to determine your fat to muscle ratio and discusses why height and weight charts are obsolete because they don’t allow for the amount of fat.

Calculation of the fat weight and lean body mass (LBM) is described and examples are given. You are taught how to determine your true ideal weight. Armed with this information the program describes how to chart your performance and use the feedback to get where you want to be. So there’s a lot of planning, calculating and commitment required.

Rigid diet control.

Exercises require significant effort and motivation.

A lot of information to understand and commit too.

Customers Review

“I used Tom’s BURN THE FAT program to lose 137 pounds, but it also changed my entire life and the life of my family. I also achieved emotional, physical and financial goals I never thought possible.

I believe your success can be traced back to something as simple as desire. Answer one question – ‘How Bad Do You Want It?’ If you want it bad, you can win like I did, you just need the right program and keep your desire burning.”

- Mike Ogorek

“I’m a 40 year old mom of 3, ages 11, 6 and 4. Before, I was 85 kg and 36.5% body fat, size 40. I was fat and miserable. My family life and relationship were suffering. My husband knew someone who did Burn The Fat and it changed his life, so I tried it too.

I lost 15 kg in 8 months and kept it off. Because of my desire to be “hot at 40,” I took it to a new level. Tom taught me how and I lost another 8 kgs in 3 months and did my first bikini competition!”

- Bonnie VanNiekerk

Final Verdict

The emphasis is that there is no such thing as failure: only results. Being flexible and persistent in your approach are key elements.

This program is very easy to understand but it is strict and demanding. However, there are worked examples throughout the guide to help. Every aspect of your body is described and you end up being in total control of what you do to lose body fat. You become very aware of your body and can gear your eating and exercise regime to produce an individual plan suited to your precise needs. If you are serious about improving your health and losing body fat  then this program is ideal for you – provided you have the commitment to follow through. As described above this is not a quick fix program and there is a lot of information (over 300 pages) in the book which at times may seem overwhelming.

I absolutely pity women who have to suffer some of those unpleasant diets or intense routines to have a toned, attractive bellies. It is great for boys that when we need muscle we’re going to shed all of our body fat automatically, as an upkeep price of your muscle mass. What I want to say is I am glad I’m a guy.
